Andrew you are the best thing that has happened to me.

We travel, sing, annoy, laugh, cry and enjoy each other.

You are a man of God, a man on integrity and character, a hard worker, kind, thoughtful, loving, mellow, calm, super & ridiculously musically talented.

You're a dreamer & you show me how to dream.

I couldn't imagine life without you in it.

This first year of marriage was hard, it was a lot of growing and stretching, a ton of learning, loads of communication and opening up but a ton of fun.

Three Day Weekend.

Can I just start by saying I love three day weekends? Seriously, the best. By the way this post may be a tad long. If you stick around, you are a gem & I really appreciate my readers & commenters!

Saturday, I did a photo shoot with my friend Lyndsie. She was my photographer for my engagement & wedding photos. Basically she's amazing. Not because she takes cool pictures ( that's just a bonus) but because she's one of the sweetest girls I know. I have known her for a really long time because we have grown up in the same church however, these past couple of years I have really had a chance to get to know her better & I have enjoyed that. Anyways, so Saturday was kind of a fluke thing. I was on a run when she texted me asking if I wanted to take photos for my blog. I was like UM YES! She was supposed to take pictures for something else & then that didn't happen so she had all of her equipment with her & that's how the photo shoot happened! Can't wait to share those pictures with you all soon!

Sunday, Andrew was asked to sing at our church! He is the sound and lighting tech for our church but his first love is music. That's where his talent is & what he loves. He loves doing all the tech side of things but it's nice to get out from behind the soundboard and rock out for The Lord!

Monday, we had a day trip planned to Santa Cruz. We never usually have the same day off so when we do we take full advantage of it! Santa Cruz & Capitola are some of our favorite spots. We started out going to Pac ave (Pacific Avenue) and grabbing some lunch. We did a little bit of shopping and then grabbed coffee before we headed out to Capitola to hang on the beach.

I wouldn't know anything if my bestie Kristina hadn't introduced me to these amazing places)^

So then after all of this fun we headed to Capitola. We went to our our favorite Taffy shop and loaded up. Then we sat on the beach for maybe an hour. It was overcast and on the colder side but I love those kind of beach days.

Lastly, Andrew and I joined 24 hour fitness last night. There was a good deal going on and no contract so we decided to do it. I am so glad he did too because on rainy days like today I can still workout.
Best part. They have a pool. I cannot wait to get my swimming up to par again.
I had a really amazing weekend. Lots of fun & memories made.

{Valentine's Outfit}

ahhhh...the day of Love! 

Okay, cut the crap. ( I need a record screeching or something to be as dramatic as I am writing this in my head. Oh well)

 In all reality I never used to like this holiday until I got married. All you single peeps I know how ya feel. I used to get together with my girlfriends and go out or have a little party & that was always a ton of fun! Show your family, friends, co-workers, whoever some love & kindness today. You never know who just needs to see a genuine smile!

Andrew let me go out and buy a Valentine's outfit! He is so sweet and honestly, I know I have said this before, we have been so good with our money. The fact that he just let me go and pick an outfit out was like the sweetest thing ever!

{A little interview on the hubsand}

 

I decided to do a little interview on my husband! I saw this idea from a few other blogs and thought it was a perfect way to end my Friday!

Here it goes and I hope you get to learn a little more about my wonderful guy!

What was you first impression of me?

That you were nice, talkative and really pretty!

What are the qualities you like in me most?

 Your compassion, caring spirit and your love for family.

What are your favorite book(s) of the Bible? Why?

Psalm. They are mostly songs that cover many of life's different emotions and situations. Being a musician that book speaks to me in a way that no other books do.

What do you think about marriage?

I think it's icky! Just kidding! I think marriage is a commitment that goes deeper than the paper we sign. I think it's a commitment we make before God to love and care for each other and show God's compassion to each other. I think that commitment is the single most important commitment that a person can make in their lives short of accepting Jesus as their Savior.

Where would you go for your dream vacation?

A tropical island. Something that has white sandy beaches with drinks that come in coconuts.

What is the most embarrassing thing you have done in your life? 

In the eighth grade I fell off the stage playing worship.

Who is your role model?

I would say our former interim Pastor at Calvary Temple, Pastor Dresselhaus. I love his grace and gentle spirit.

What is your dream job?

A fighter pilot.

What would you change about yourself if given a chance?

My butt chin. ( He never shaves the hair off that part of his face. EVER.)

Which celebrity do you dislike the most?

Nicki Minaj aka Miss Potato Head

What makes you the most fulfilled or happiest as a husband?

When you are sleeping and I kiss you on the forehead and you give a little smile when you're sleeping.

What is your love language?

Words of affirmation and physical touch. ( as he strokes my forehead )

Which animal would you like to be?

Fishing cat.

Bugs Bunny.
